Easter Egg Hunt at Phillis Wheatley Community Center
Our annual Easter Egg Hunt at Phillis Wheatley Community Center brought joy and learning to over 50 children. Discover how fun and education came together in this memorable community event.
Bringing Joy and Learning to the Children of Phillis Wheatley
This year’s Easter Egg Hunt at Phillis Wheatley Community Center was one of our most memorable events yet. With the support of our mentors, we organised an exciting day full of games, learning activities, and, of course, egg hunting. But this event was more than just fun—it was an opportunity for our students to engage in educational games that developed their problem-solving and teamwork skills.
From interactive reading challenges to hands-on math puzzles, every activity was designed to foster both learning and enjoyment. We were thrilled to see how excited the children were, not only about the egg hunt but about learning something new.
Why Extracurricular Activities Matter
At PEERS 4 Life, we believe that learning extends beyond the classroom. Events like these allow students to practice the skills they’ve learned in a more relaxed, engaging environment. Additionally, these activities help foster stronger relationships between mentors and students, building trust and opening the door for more impactful mentorship.
